Obituary for John N. Boulais, Jr
John Noel Boulais, Jr., 71, of Pittsfield, died Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on September 22, 1950, son of the late John N. Boulais, Sr. and Evelyn F. LaPlante Boulais, he was a 1969 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
A mechanic by trade, Mr. Boulais was employed by the Pittsfield Public Schools for twenty years. He had also worked for BRTA, JJ Warehouse and Kerns Trucking.
A United States Army Veteran, he served during the Viet Nam War and was stationed in Alaska. He was a member of the Dalton American Legion. He enjoyed camping and fishing, collecting coins, and playing guitar.
Mr. Boulais is survived by two daughters, Anita Boulais of Lenox and Melissa Boulais of Pittsfield; five sons, John N. Boulais, III, of Sandisfield, Matthew Boulais of Lenox Dale, Timothy Boulais of Pittsfield, Luke Boulais of Pittsfield, and Michael Boulais of Pittsfield; a brother, Daniel Boulais of Pittsfield; a sister, Donna Tucker of Pittsfield, and eight grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for John N. Boulais, Jr. will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor Emeritus of St. Charles Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dalton American Legion in care of the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
