Obituary for John T. Boino
John T. Boino, 67 of Pittsfield, passed away April 11, 2023 at home after a battle with cancer.
Born in Pittsfield on April 4, 1956, he was the son of Rosemary Brophy Boino and the late Joaquin “Jack” Boino.
He attended St. Agnes Elementary and Wahconah Regional High School, from which he graduated in 1974.
John married the former Jeanne M. Zaccaria on May 6, 1978 at St. Agnes Church in Dalton.
Most recently he was an assembler for Patriot Armor in Lenox Dale. Prior to that he had been employed at various mills including Crane and Company in Dalton and Beloit in Lenox.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing and going to the casinos.
Mr. Boino is survived by his mother, Rosemary Boino of Dalton. His wife, Jeanne Boino of Pittsfield. Son, Michael J. Boino and wife Emily of Housatonic, MA. Three brothers, David Boino and wife Gina of Dalton, Thomas Boino and wife Patty of Dalton, and Kevin Boino and wife Maureen of Greensboro, NC. Two sisters, Deborah Agar and husband Rich of Lenexa, KS, and Maureen Boino of Leominster, MA. Three grandchildren, Kamren, Hannah and Jordan Boino. His son-in-law, Edward Taylor of Peru, MA. As well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Angela Boino Taylor.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside services will be held, Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lee, MA, officiated by Rev. Christopher Malatesta. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made out to the Angela Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund, and mailed to Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201. This scholarship is in memory of his daughter, Angela.
