Obituary for Jody Lynn Brigley
DALTON- Jody Lynn Brigley, 60, of Hemlock Hill, passed away June 7, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones, after a valiant six-year battle with breast cancer.
Jody was born in Northampton, MA, on September 14, 1961, where she was raised and educated. She had previously worked as a chef at Kelly’s Diner where she developed many friendships. She enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, was a prolific reader and avid fan of the 49ers. Jody also had a special talent of remembering everyone’s birthday by heart.
Jody was predeceased by her husband Joseph Brigley, son Dalton Brigley, and daughter Vanassa Brigley. She is survived by her mother Janet Mathison and stepfather George Still of Chesterfield, beloved son Morgan Mathison (Tiffany) of Pittsfield, sister Terry Crowther (Gilbert) of Goshen, brother Andrew Mathison of GA, brother and sister in-laws, nieces, cousins, grandchildren, and many close friends.
SERVICES: Calling hours: Wednesday, June 29, 2022, 5:00pm-7:00pm DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main Street, Dalton, MA 01226. Celebration of Life service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the BMC Cancer Center in care of the funeral home.
