Obituary for JoAnne F. Haddad

JoAnne F. Haddad, 81, of Pittsfield, passed away November 27, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on March 3, 1942, she was the daughter of Mario and Rose Monteleone Chiorgno.

JoAnne was educated in Pittsfield Schools and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. She married George Haddad on July 15, 1972.

She was an insurance company administrator with Berkshire Mutual until she retired.

Mrs. Haddad was a communicant of the former Mount Carmel Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. She also was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, watching football, going to the casino and loved traveling with her husband George. She was a kind and lovely woman who thought of others constantly. She will be deeply missed by so many. She was such an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Haddad of North Adams, Donna Haddad-Garner of North Adams, and Kimberly Haddad-Guthrie and Iain of Greenfield, NH. Four granddaughters, Ashley Reynolds-Snook, RN and husband Randall of Weare, NH, Meagan Reynolds Chandarana, PharmD Rph and husband Neil of Buffalo NY, Brittany Garner and Aubrey Garner, both of North Adams. As well as four great-grandchildren, two nieces, Alisa Fabino-Potash and husband Dave and Michelle Chiorgno-Foster and husband Dan, and one nephew, Mark Fabino.

She was predeceased by her sister and brother in-law, Marcia and James Fabino; brother Donald Chiorgno, and niece, Christina Joseph Wegryzn; and sister in-law, Alice Haddad Joseph and husband Samuel.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be held, Friday, December 8, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA. A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Michael Shershanovich. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
