Obituary for Joann Kurpiel

Joann Kurpiel, 57, of 38 East Deming Street, Dalton, Ma. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born on June 18, 1950 in Pittsfield, Ma. She was the daughter of Marie A. Landry Virgilio and the late Joseph T. Spaniol. She attended schools in Dalton and in Pittsfield and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. She was last employed as store manager for Dreikorn Bakery in Adams, Ma. for 17 years. Besides her mother of Dalton, Ma. she leaves two daughters, Gina M. Lucido of Easthampton and Tynette F. Laston of Knoxville, TN. Two sisters, Nancy Taylor of Dalton and Ann Sephas of Pittsfield. A granddaughter, Tierra Allessio, a Uncle William Landry and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St. Dalton, with the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor of St. Agnes Church officiating. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. Memorials in her memory may be made to Dalton Ambulance in care of the funeral home.
