Obituary for Joan Massaconi

Joan Massaconi, 81, of 23 Wells Road, Cheshire, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at
her home.
Born in Cheshire on August 5, 1935, the daughter of Dominic and Christina Graziani
Bondini, she attended Adams High School.
Mrs. Massaconi was a homemaker and caregiver to her uncle, Pasquale "Patsy" Penna. She had also worked for Hunter Outdoor Products, Aladco, and in the Cheshire school cafeteria.
She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking Italian cookies, knitting, dancing and attending her grandchildren's athletic events.
She leaves her husband, Narcheeso "Cheeso" Massaconi.
Mrs. Massaconi is also survived by two daughters, Susan Massaconi and her husband,
David Michaels, of Sarasota, Fla.; Krystina Massaconi and her significant other, Tim Hughes, of Cheshire; four sons, Joseph Massaconi and his wife, Edie, of Cheshire, Chuck "Jap" Massaconi
of Adams, Daniel Massaconi and his wife, Christel, of Cheshire, and Dominic Massaconi of New
Lebanon, New York; as well as three grandchildren, Michael Bostwick and his fiancée, Mandy
Duplantis, Mitchell Massaconi, and Tyler Massaconi.
She was pre-deceased by a grandson, Matthew; three brothers, Alfred Bondini, Albert
Bondini, and Stephen Bondini; and a sister, Antoinette Bondini.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Joan Massaconi will be held Saturday, March 18, with a Liturgy of
Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary of the Assumption Church celebrated by Rev. Matthew Guidi, Pastor. Burial will be in Cheshire Cemetery in the Spring. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the American Heart Association both in care of the DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, P.O.
Box 445, Cheshire.
