Joan Winifred Corl, 86, of Pittsfield died at her home on Tuesday November 17, 2015. Born in Pittsfield, March 3, 1929 the daughter of the late Nicholas T. and Corinne (Bassett) Lambert, she was attended St. Charles Grammar School and was a 1947 graduate of St. Joseph High School, and a 1967 graduate of the St. Luke's School of Nursing, where she obtained her L.P.N.
Joan was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Berkshire Medical Center for twenty years until her retirement in 1988. Joan was communicant of St. Joseph's Church, and also a Eucharistic Minister for many years at B.M.C, she was actively involved with the Social Club at Providence Court, where she enjoyed playing B.I.N.G.O. and cards. She drove for many years for the Benovelent Society of the Blind and was also an R.S.V.P. volunteer.
Joan is survived by her son; Richard C. Corl and his wife Karen of Pittsfield, her daughter; Carolyn C. Clevenger and her husband Edward also of Pittsfield, her stepchildren; Charles Corl Jr. and Barbara Guiste both of Windsor, MA, Patricia Smith of Maine, Andrea Gaylord of Pittsfield and Linda Marshal of Maryland; as well as eleven grandchildren and fifteen great
grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Joan was predeceased by her husband Charles H. Corl Sr., whom she married October 18, 1947; their marriage was blessed by Joan's twin brother Rev. Andre` (John) Lambert in 1977 and they were married for 44 years until Charles' passing on September 19, 1991. She was also predeceased by her daughter Dorothy Corl Stryker-Delano on October 12, 2004, her twin brother; Rev. Andre` (John) Lambert, her brothers; Nicholas T. Lambert III. and William P. Lambert and her sisters Corinne Nolan and Elizabeth Corl.

Funeral Notice:
A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Joan Winifred Corl, who died on Tuesday November 17th, will be held Friday November 20th at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, celebrated by the Msgr. Michael Shershanovich, Pastor. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Thursday November 19th from 4-7p.m. at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joan's memory can be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
