Obituary for Jim R. Wheeler

Jim Richard Wheeler, 75, of 12 South Willow St. Adams, Ma. died Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Berkshire Medical Center after a long illness.
He was born in Texas on April 23, 1933. He attended schools in Texas. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Jim was a life long truck driver and had worked for Kelly Hardwood, Eastover, Lawery Freight and lastly for Responsive Trucking where he retired from in 2004 due to ill health. He enjoyed the outdoors. He leaves his wife the former, Patricia A. Deveneau whom he married on July 5, 1966. A son, James R. Wheeler and his fianc� Myia L. Gaulden of Pittsfield. Two daughters, Tonya M. West of Pittsfield and Linda M. Cunagin and her fianc� Kevin A. Oswald of Adams. A stepson, Hanley Palmer, Jr. and his wife Sue of Stephentown, NY. Four grandchildren, Calob Cunagin, Tobias Gaulden-Wheeler, Savanah West and Gavin Gaulden-Wheeler. A niece Melissa Meyer-Wood. A Stepson, William Palmer of Tampa, Fl died in November of 2007. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. No calling hours. Memorials in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association in care of
Dery Funeral Home 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. which is handling arrangements.
