Obituary for Jennifer "JuJu" Keefe

Jennifer Susan "Ju Ju" Keefe, 49, of 25 Preston Avenue,
Pittsfield, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at
her home, surrounded by her loving family,
after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Pittsfield on November 8, 1964, the daughter of Thomas E. Sherman, Jr., and Jane Nichols Sherman Mahon,
she was a 1982 graduate of St. Joseph Central High School. Continuing her education,
Jennifer graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
Mrs. Keefe was employed by Greylock Federal Credit Union where she worked in Quality
Control. She was a communicant of St. Charles Church.
Mrs. Keefe's greatest love was her family. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and playing cards.
She also enjoyed nature and camping. She was fond of all animals, especially dogs.
She leaves her husband, Michael R. Keefe, whom she married April 25, 1992,
at St. Charles Church. Besides her husband-best friend-soul mate,
Michael, she leaves her daughter, Courtney Keefe
of Pittsfield; her son, Ryan Keefe, of Pittsfield; her mother,
June Mahon and her husband, Bill, of
Lanesborough; her father, Thomas E. Sherman and his wife,
Donna, of Stephentown, New York;
her brother, Timothy Sherman and his wife, Jena, of Lanesborough;
many nieces and nephews; and her faithful dogs, Bailey and Buster.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Jennifer Susan "Ju Ju" Keefe will be held Wednesday, July 9, with a Liturgy of
Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Charles Church celebrated by Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor. Burial
will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the DERY
FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. The omission of flowers is requested. The family suggests, instead, that memorial contributions
be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, and to greet a stranger with a smile.
