Obituary for Jeanette V. Young
Jeanette V. Young, 72, of Pittsfield, passed away March 22, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Springfield, MA on August 22, 1948 to Alfred and Ruth Barnard Young.
She worked in the home health care field as a PCA and CNA for many years, having worked at Laurel Lake.
She loved to spend time with her family.
Mrs. Young is survived by her daughter, Dawn Houghtlin and husband Michael of Pittsfield, and son Douglas Merriott and wife Danielle of Florida. She also leaves nine grandchildren, Tiffany and husband Adam, Mikey and wife Krystal, Robert, Randall, Avy, D’Artagnan, Lola, Douglas and Aya; as well as four great-grandchildren, Riley, Serenity, Brantlee, and Piper.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Killela, Sr and son Robert Killela Jr.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimers Association in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
