Obituary for Jean A. McLaren

Jean A. McLaren, 84, died peacefully Friday, March 17, 2017 at Hillcrest Commons. She was born in Adams, Massachusetts on March 29, 1932, the daughter of Harold and Anna (Triggs) McLaren. Jean was raised in Adams and was a 1950 graduate of Adams High School. After high school, Jean attended Mercy Hospital Nursing School where she obtained her nursing degree. Jean went on to be employed as a nurse at Albany Hospital, Adams Hospital, and Plunkett Memorial Hospital. She was a caring and loving individual.
She is survived by her two siblings, Helen F. Heap of Groton, CT. and William J. McLaren (Ann) of Adams, MA and FL. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Joseph C. Heap II, Martha Heap Shoemaker, Mary McLaren McGeogheghan, Sarah McLaren Nerino, Timothy T. Heap, and Katie McLaren Little. She also leaves behind 12 great nieces and nephews.
Jean's family would like to thank those who made her final years comfortable, especially the staff of Hillcrest Commons and the Hospice.
There will be a memorial service announced for Jean in early May. Interment in Bellevue Cemetery will be private. As Jean was a devout Roman Catholic, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Stanislaus Kostka School, 108 Summer Street, Adams, MA 01220 or to Hospice, 877 South Street, Suite 1, Pittsfield, MA 01201
