Obituary for Jean Marion Hoag
Jean Marion Hoag, 95 of Pittsfield, passed away January 1, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Lyme, New Hampshire on December 2, 1925, the daughter of the late Ralph and Ida Young Small, she attended Lyme, NH Schools and was a graduate of Hanover High School in Hanover, NH.
She married William R. Hoag on January 5, 1946. He predeceased her in 2005.
Primarily a homemaker, at one time she worked as an office clerk for ten years at Eaton Paper company.
She was a communicant of St. Mark's Church, and was an avid reader of history books and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Hoag is survived by her son Dennis Hoag and wife Diane of Dalton; daughters, Colleen Laviolette and husband Leo of Hancock, and Noreen Reu of Pittsfield; a brother, Duane Small of Lyme, NH and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen J. Hoag in 2011 and a son-in-law, Daniel Reu.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be private. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Joseph's Cemetery or to Disabled American Veterans in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201
