Jason Robert Blake (Blake Boy), 42, of Pittsfield, MA, passed away unexpectedly on March 13, 2020 at Fairview Hospital.

He was born in Pittsfield on November 3, 1977 to Robert and Hope DeForest Blake.

A graduate of Wahconah Regional High School, Jason married the former Gina Procopio on December 31, 2002.

He worked as a supervisor at Hillcrest Educational for seven years. He was close with his Hillcrest colleagues and was proud of his shift working well together.

Jason was a devoted father, brother, son, and friend. He made time for everyone who he loved.

Jason loved animals and called himself the cat whisperer. You could often find him snuggling one of his pets.

Jason was silly and kind and funny. He loved his little girls and was a dedicated father. He was always taking them shopping and sneaking them treats. He already has Easter presents hidden for them. He will be deeply missed.

Jason loved Magic: The Gathering cards and iced coffee. Jason was an excellent bowler with several 300 games. He was very connected to his bowling community.

Jason loves his family and was very close with his sisters. He made a point to see them every week.
Jason and his wife were best friends that loved each other truly.

Jason was a great man with a beautiful soul. He loved rap music and was a terrible singer.

He leaves a hole in our hearts; until we meet again.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Gina Blake; his children, Taylor and Paige; his brother Kevin; sisters, June, Joyce, and Kayla; his mother, Hope, and father, Robert; two nieces and three nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held at a later date. Please continue to check our website for updates.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Hillcrest Educational or 18 Degrees, Formerly Berkshire Children and Families, in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.

Gina- I only met your husband once at the office, he was so kind and glowed with happiness and warmth in just those few moments. My heart is with you and your girls and you are in my thoughts always. Wishing you all the love imaginable as you share memories of your husband with friends and family. Between the tears and sorrow you feel, I hope you are able to smile and laugh as you remember him and soak up all the love and memories you have with him. -Kalee
