Obituary for Janet I. Taylor

JANET IRENE TAYLOR, 69, of 607 Williams Street, Pittsfield, died Sunday,January 20, at Berkshire Medical Center.Born in Pittsfield, November 3, 1938, daughter of Louis and Frances D'Alfonso
Esoldi, she was a 1956 pro-merito graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Taylor was employed as a secretary for General Electric and Lockheed Martin in Pittsfield for 30 years retiring in 1994. After graduating from high school, she worked for five years at the former Pittsfield Mill and Plumbing. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the General
Electric Quarter Century Club. She was an avid Red Sox fan who also enjoyed reading, shopping, and traveling. She leaves her husband, Robert F. Taylor, whom she married May 13, 1961.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Taylor is survived by a brother, James L. Esoldi of
Pittsfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for JANET IRENE TAYLOR, who died Sunday, January 20,
will be Thursday, January 24, at 10:15 a.m., from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church celebrated by Rev. James K. Joyce, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers,contributions in memory of Mrs. Taylor may be made to HospiceCare in The
Berkshires in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.Mrs. Taylor also leaves her sister-in-law, Judy Esoldi, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her sister, Mary Medlin, who died October 4,
2001.
