Obituary for Janet Sylvia Horowitz Greenstein

Janet Sylvia Greenstein (Horowitz), 89, passed away on February 7, 2013.
She was the devoted wife and predeceased by Noah, beloved mother of Margery
Steinberg (Lewis) and Ellen Teitelbaum (Fredrick Stern), adored grandmother of
Abigail and Jordan Teitelbaum, cherished sister and predeceased by Roslyn Horowitz.
Janet grew up in Manhattan and raised her family in Massapequa Park, Long
Island. She worked for 15 years as a legal secretary in Amityville, Long Island. In
her retirement years, she enjoyed bridge, travel, and theater. Janet and Noah later
moved to West Hartford, Conn., where they became active volunteers. Upon Noah's
passing, Janet moved to Dalton where she was cared for Sugar Hill.
Donations may be sent to the Tanglewood Music Center or Temple Sinai of
Massapequa, or the charity of the donor's choice.
