Obituary for Jane Anne Sakowski
Jane Anne Sakowski, age 84, of Columbus Avenue, Pittsfield, died Friday, May 8, 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Newburg, New York on January 16, 1931, the daughter of the late Joseph T. and Annamae Moran Flanagan. She was a 1949 graduate of St. Joseph High School.
Mrs. Sakowski had been employed at the General Electric Company for over forty years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. She enjoyed playing cards and going to casinos.
Mrs. Sakowski married the late Stanley E. Sakowski on January 16, 1975; he died on December 28, 1995.
Jane is survived by her sister: Joanne Jones of Pittsfield; and several nieces andf nephews. She was pre-deceased by two brothers and two sisters.
FUNERAL NOTICE
Funeral services will be held TUESDAY, May 12, 2015 at 9:00 AM with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, celebrated by Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. By her request, there will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made in Jane's memory to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or to the Pittsfield Boys and Girls Club, in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA, 01201.
