Obituary for Jane Belknap Hoffman

Jane Belknap Hoffman, 56, of 156 Cleveland Road, Dalton, Ma. died suddenly on Thursday November 29, 2012 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born on June 27, 1956 in Pittsfield a daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor Quinn Belknap. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and was a 1974 graduate of Saint Joseph's High School. She was a graduate of Berkshire Community College. At the time of her death she was employed for the Pittsfield Post Office for 29 years as a postal clerk. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church and a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Jane loved entertaining family and friends, always looking for a new recipe to share with guests. She enjoyed traveling to Florida, the Caribbean and Europe. Janes was a certified scuba diver. She is survived by her husband, J. Michael Hoffman whom she married August 6, 2011 at St. Agnes Church. Her Stepmother, Olga Belknap of Pittsfield. Two daughters, Sarah Jane Scolforo of Amesbury, Ma. and Amy L. Eighmy and her husband Christopher of Plainville, Ma. A Sister, Karen Rogers and her husband Chris of Windsor, Ma. Three brothers, Paul and his wife Ann, Brian and his wife Lori and Gary Belknap all of Pittsfield. Nieces and nephews, Thomas, Allie, Kelly, Eric and Nicole Belknap. Loving sister in law, Sherry Belknap of Pittsfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Jane Belknap Hoffman will be held Thursday December 6, 2012, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church in Dalton, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. Calling hours at DERY FUNERAL HOME IN PITTSFIELD, 54 Bradford Street will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials in her memory be made to the Catholic Youth Center of Pittsfield in care of the funeral home.
