Obituary for Jane E. Campagna
Jane Elizabeth Campagna, 84, of 10 Marlboro Drive, Pittsfield, Ma. died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 1st, 2014 at Albany Medical Center, Albany, New York.
Born on July 11, 1929 in Pittsfield a daughter of the late Arthur and Jennie Dutton Andrew. She attended schools in Pittsfield and was a 1947 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Jane had first worked at the General Electric Company as a secretary, later she went to work for the Berkshire Eagle in the circulation department for 12 years, lastly she was employed for Price Chopper as a cashier for 9 years retiring in 1989. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed gardening, her family and raising her grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James J. Campagna whom she married September 4, 1950 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Two sons, James A. Campagna and his wife Patricia and Jerry C. Campagna and his wife Christine all of Pittsfield.
Six grandchildren, Ryan E. Campagna, Eric J. Campagna, Nicholas A. Campagna, Jessica E. Wehry and her husband David, Sarah J. Walker and her husband Scott and Jimmy W. Campagna. Six Great Grandchildren, Jack, Emma, Andre, Grace, Mason and Everett. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Howard Andrew in 2007.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Jane E. Campagna will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at DERY FUNERAL HOME 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. will be Friday from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or The Salvation Army or Boy's Town all in care of Dery Funeral Home.
