Obituary for James M. Paone

JAMES MICHAEL PAONE, 83, of 94 Elaine Drive, Pittsfield, Massachusetts,
died Friday morning after along illness at the home of his sister, Angela Marinaro, with
whom he had made his home since January 2005.
Born in East Orange, New Jersey, January 3, 1923, he was the son of Frank and
Rose Agneta Paone, he graduated from high school in New Jersey.
He served in the New Jersey State Guard.
Mr. Paone was employed as a boilerman-fireman for the state of New Jersey for 42 years. He also worked part-time in a fish and tackle store.
He was a communicant of St. Peter Church in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey.
He enjoyed stamp collecting and fishing, and visiting the casinos.
Besides his sister, Mr. Paone is survived by four nephews, Vincent Marinaro and
Francis Marinaro, all of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and Francis Preite of Westfield, New Jersey, and Domenic Preite of Clark, New Jersey. He was pre-deceased by a sister,
Lucille Preite.




FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for JAMES MICHAEL PAONE, who died Friday,
August 18, will be held Monday, August 21, at 12:00 noon at Sacred Heart Church, 191
Elm Street, Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Burial will be Tuesday in Mount Olivet Cemetery
in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Calling hours will be Sunday, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at
DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers,
contributions in memory of Mr. Paone may be made to St. Peter's Church in Point
Pleasant Beach, New Jersey or to Sacred Heart Church, both in care of the Funeral Home.
