Obituary for James J. Grandbois

JAMES JOSEPH GRANDBOIS, 41, of 238 Second Street, Pittsfield, died Tuesday, August 12, at Berkshire Medical Center, after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Born in Pittsfield, October 22, 1966, a son of Richard Grandbois of Lenox and the late Bette Reynolds Grandbois Cannon, he was educated in Pittsfield schools.At the time of his death, Mr. Grandbois was a taxi cab driver for County Rainbow Taxi where he had worked for the past nine years. Prior to that, he worked in land-scaping and roofing and siding.
He enjoyed camping, bicycling, and remote control cars. Mr. Grandbois leaves his wife, the former Danielle J. Belanger, whom he
married January 14, 2006.
Besides his wife and his father, he leaves a son, James J. Grandbois, Jr., and a
daughter, Makayla Grandbois, both at home; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Green of
Pittsfield and Tawnya Underhill of Dalton; four brothers, Richard A. Grandbois of
Pittsfield, Robert W. Grandbois of Cheshire, Michael Malanfant of Pittsfield, and
Russell A. Grandbois of Pittsfield; twenty four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Another brother, Dannye D. Grandbois, pre-deceased him.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for JAMES J. GRANDBOIS, who died Tuesday, August 12,
will be Monday, August 18, at 11:30 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME. There are
no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions to establish an education fund
for his children may be made to Danielle.
