Obituary for James F. Favre

James F. Favre, 62, of 190 South Street in Dalton died Friday evening at home. Born on March 6, 1952 in Pittsfield, he was the son of Regina Danford Favre of Pittsfield and the late George F. Favre.
He had resided in Dalton since 1999 and prior to that had resided in Pittsfield for many years.
He was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1970 graduate of Taconic High School. He also studied art & drama at Berkshire Community College. Jim was employed as an engineer at Clark-Aitken in Lee for fifteen years. He had also worked at one time at General Electric and at the Academy at Swift River where he served as the network administrator. An avid musician and drummer, he had performed with many local area bands here in the Berkshire's. He was a member of Citizens Against Child Abuse.
A train enthusiast, he enjoyed small rail models and had served as a volunteer for the Berkshire Scenic Railway for many years. He leaves his wife, the former Ann M. Shea of Dalton whom he married on January 16, 1999. A son; Kevin M. Favre and his wife Rebecca Neet of Pittsfield. Two daughters; Kimberly A. Favre of Chatham, NY and Krissy L. Capitanio of Pittsfield and his step-son; Ryan M. Boucher and his wife Marissa of Pittsfield. He also leaves his eleven grandchildren; Matthew, Andrew, Kevin Jr., Nikki, Branden, Josh, Jack, Kate, Braeden, Owen and Haidann.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for James F. Favre, 62, of Dalton who died March 7, 2014 will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dalton. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery in Dalton. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations in memory of Jim may be made to Kid's Place in care of the funeral home, 890 Main St. Dalton, MA 01226.
