Obituary for James W. Culliton Sr.

James Culliton, age 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 23rd surrounded by his family at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born in Pittsfield on May 13, 1936, the son of James Henry Culliton and Beatrice Avery Culliton. Jim attended St. Joseph's High School. He served in the Army for two years stationed in Germany. Jim was a communicant of Saint Agnes Church in Dalton, MA.
Jim was a skilled mason who built the family home, leaving beautiful fireplaces in our homes for many future warm evenings to come. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan and his two sons; Jim Culliton, and his wife Mary Verdi and Scott Culliton. His also leaves his grandchildren; Jimmy, Bryan and Patrick Culliton.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for James W. Culliton Sr. of Dalton who passed away on March 23, 2017 will be held Tuesday at 9:15 AM from the DERY FUNERAL HOME in PITTSFIELD followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Agnes Church in Dalton celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home in Pittsfield. Memorial contributions in memory of Jim may be made to St. Agnes Church in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 02101.
