Obituary for Jadviga J. Jacobs

Jadviga Joanna Jacobs, 97, a resident of State Road, Richmond, until July 2009,
when she went to live with her daughter in Palmer, died Thursday, September 12, 2013,
at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield.
Born in Torrington, Connecticut, on August 22, 1916, a daughter of Marceli and
Anna Kulesza Kulinski, she was educated in Great Barrington schools and attended
Searles High School.
Mrs. Jacobs loved being a homemaker for her family. She enjoyed cooking,
especially baking pies, sewing, and crocheting.
She had been a communicant of St. Patrick Church and a member of its Rosary
Altar Society.
She was a member of Richmond's JOY (Just Old Youth) Group and helped
serve meals at the Richmond Congregational Church.
Her husband, Camillo J. Jacobs, Sr., died March 16, 1993.
Mrs. Jacobs is survived by a son, Camillo "Cam" J. Jacobs, Jr., and his wife,
Mary Ann, of Schenectady, N.Y.; a daughter, Frances A. White and her husband,
William, with whom she made her home in Palmer; two brothers, Marcel Kulinski of
Meriden, Conn., and John Kulinski and his wife, Grace, of Winsted, Conn.; a sister,
Anna Micklos of Plymouth, Conn.; as well as four grandchildren, Maria (and John)
Bruno, Michael (and Kimberly) Jacobs, Melissa (and Edward) Frederick, and Brian (and
Christine) White, and nine great grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Jadviga Joanna Jacobs will be held Friday, September 20,
with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m., St. Patrick Church in West Stockbridge
celebrated by Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's
Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., at DERY
FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the
donor's charity of choice in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
