Obituary for Jacqueline C. Procopio

Jacqueline "€œJackie"€ Claire Marie Therese Boulais Procopio, 84, of Pittsfield, died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born on August 19, 1930 in Pittsfield, she was the daughter of the late Philias and Flore Miclette Boulais. A longtime Pittsfield resident, she was educated at the former Notre Dame School and graduated from St. Joseph Central High School in 1947. A homemaker while her children were young, she worked as the manager at the former Dora Dale Clothing in Pittsfield. She also worked at Optical Care Associates, retiring in 1995. Mrs. Procopio was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, Scrabble, jigsaw puzzles, reading and cooking. She was involved in school and church activities while living in Emerson, NJ. She was active with the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. Jackie was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She married her husband, the late Vincent F. Procopio on May 27, 1950 at Notre Dame Church. He died on August 4, 1972. Jackie leaves two daughters; Marie Percarpio and her husband Peter of Woodland Park, NJ and Judith Procopio of Pittsfield and her former husband Raymond Wallach, Sr. A son; Jerome Procopio and his former wife, Carol Buff of Duncan, SC. She also leaves her brother-in-law, Richard Belford and his significant other, Patricia Gavin of Pittsfield. Eight grandchildren; Wayne Miles and his wife Sharon, Aimee Miles, Raymond Wallach II, Matthew Wallach, Alyssa Wallach, Michael Wallach, Sara Procopio and Kristen Procopio. She also leaves her unborn first great-grandchild, “baby Miles.” Jackie leaves her loving nieces, nephews, their children and grandchildren as well as several cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter; the late Teresa Procopio Miles who died in 1986, and by her four brothers; James, Paul, John and Marcel and by two sisters; Frances Belford and Louise Boulais.





FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Jacqueline Boulais Procopio who died March 21, 2015 will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM from the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church. Following cremation, burial will take place in the spring at St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations in memory of “Jackie” may be made to the ASPCA, Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter, American Diabetes Foundation, American Heart Association or to St. Joseph Church, all in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
