Obituary for Ivenette M. Dewey

IVENETTE MAE 'IVY' DEWEY, 81, of 240 Francis Avenue, Pittsfield, died Monday, January 21, at Hillcrest Commons, where she had been a patient three days. Born in Pittsfield, September 5, 1926, a daughter of Albert E. and Delia
Lacourse Daley, she was educated in Becket and Dalton schools. Mrs. Dewey was a homemaker.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and enjoyed reading The Bible.
Her husband, Henry R. Dewey, Jr., whom she married September 3, 1950, died
April 18, 1996. Mrs. Dewey is survived by three sons, Henry R. Dewey, Jr., of North Adams,
Donald A. Dewey of Rogers City, Michigan, and William A. Dewey of Pittsfield; four
daughters, Delia M. Levesque of Pittsfield, Ivy M. Plumley of Pittsfield, Ruth E.
Dewey of Pittsfield, and Kathleen M. Wetherell of Averill Park, New York; 29 grand-
children and 37 great grandchildren. Mrs. Dewey was pre-deceased by two sons,
Robert and David Dewey and a daughter, Mary Dewey.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for IVENETTE MAE 'IVY' DEWEY, who died Monday, January
21, will be Thursday, January 24, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the DERY FUNERAL
HOME. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In
lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Dewey may be made to the American
Cancer Society in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201
