Isobel R. Witto-Evans, 319 Outlook Avenue, Cheshire, died Thursday, December 30, 2021, at her daughter Judy and son-in-law Kenneth Gaylord’s home where she had been residing the past few years.

Born in Adams on May 30, 1928, daughter of Thomas and Rachel Roe Thompson, she was a 1947 graduate of Adams High School.

Mrs. Witto-Evans was employed by Adams Supermarkets where she was a product wrapper in the meat department at its Dalton Ave Pittsfield location.

Her husband, James Witto, died in 1999. Her husband, John Evans, died in 2017.

She is survived by five children, Susan J. (and Wayne) Goodell of North Adams, Jean M. Delmolino of Cheshire, Judy A. (and Kenneth) Gaylord of Cheshire, Nancy E. (and Craig) Raymond of Adams, and James T. (and Laurie) Witto of Cheshire; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren; as well as her caregivers, granddaughter, Sarah Adelt, and Kailey Pero from HospiceCare in The Berkshires.

Isobel’s family was her greatest pride and joy. She was known as Mom, Gram and Gigi. If you made the mistake to ask her anything about family she would give you a rundown on everyone. She was so proud of each and everyone of them. You would always see Gram at all the kids sporting or school events cheering them on.She was so happy to be here this year to welcome three more great grandchildren and another great, great grandchild. She also leaves many great friends she made while living her winters in Anglers Green in Florida where she loved golfing. Her greatest memories were the cruises with her kids and their spouses and the huge family picnics.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A private graveside service will be held in Cheshire Cemetery in Spring 2022. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or to Pop Cares, both in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
