Obituary for Isabelle E. Brogan

ISABELLE EMMA BROGAN, 90, of BerkshireTown Apartments, died Tuesday, February 12, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield, March 4, 1917, the daughter of Patrick Brogan, who died when
she was an infant, and Florence Kelley Brogan Hopper, she was raised by her beloved
stepfather, Joseph J. Hopper.
She was a 1937 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Miss Brogan was employed as Supervisor of the Billing Department at Western
Massachusetts Electric Company for 43 years retiring in 1979. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed knitting, needlework, shopping, and
spending time with her family and friends.
Miss Brogan is survived by a brother, Albert T. Hopper, and his wife, Vivian, of
Pittsfield; and three nieces, Patricia A. Myers of Lanesborough, Pamela J. Harris of
Cape Nedick, Maine, and Christine E. Squires of Pittsfield, many great nieces and
nephews, and longtime friends, the Northrup and Stanger families.


FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for ISABELLE EMMA BROGAN will be Friday, February 15,
at 1:30 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery.
Calling hours will precede the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers,
contributions in memory of Miss Brogan may be made to St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
