Obituary for Isabella E. Spence

Isabella Elizabeth Spence, 89, of 2834 State Road, Richmond, died Monday, January 11,
2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New Bedford, Mass., on December 24, 1926, the daughter of Andrew and Anastasia Jarsoy Thorz, she was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Spence was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in West Stockbridge. She was a member of T.O.P.S.
She enjoyed puzzles and Sudoka.
Her husband, Robert Vincent Spence, Sr., whom she married October 25, 1947, died
October 4, 2005.
Mrs. Spence is survived by two sons, Robert J. Spence, Jr., of Austerlitz, New York, and
Wayne M. Spence and his wife, Teresa, of Becket; a daughter, Nancy N. Scarbro of Henderson,
Nevada and her significant other, Joseph Esposito; as well as nine grandchildren, Nicole Clemo,
Jamie Kerbel, Tammy Burgess, Robert V. Spence, III., Ashley Daigle, Bethany Spence, Jeffrey
Spence, Eric Spence, and Colleen Callan, and twelve great grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by a brother, William Tchorz and a sister, Stella Hogue.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Isabella E. Spence will be held Tuesday, January 19, at 9:15 a.m.
from DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at
St. Patrick Church in West Stockbridge. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Monday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME in
Pittsfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joyce Spence Scholarship
Fund or to the Community Health Association of Richmond, both in care of the Funeral Home,
54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
