Obituary for Ingrid B. Salter

Ingrid Beurskens-Salter departed from this world on October 11, 2006,in Hollywood, Florida. She was a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston. She is survived by her partner, William P. Breen and her son, Timothy Michael Salter. Her loss is also mourned by her parents, Irma and Pierre Beurskens of Coral Springs, Florida; her
sisters and families, Juliette Parker of East Hampton, New York, Maureen and James
Coumas of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Carolyn Beurskens and Brad Buriff of Cooper
City, Florida. She will be missed by nieces, Joelle Parker and Charissa Schmitt and her
nephews, Ian Parker, Perry, Owen, and Adrian Coumas, as well as her extended family
and close friends. The Beurskens family have been coming to their home in Washington,
Massachusetts, for summers and holidays since 1964. Ingrid was the definition of the
word courageous. She fought her disease until the very end. Ingrid was a devoted
mother, daughter, sister, aunt, partner, and friend. She was passionate about life and hers
son, Tim, was the center of her universe. A celebration of Ingrid's life will be held at St.
Patrick Church in Hinsdale at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 28, followed by a graveside service at St. Patrick's Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will be held at
the Wahconah Country Club in Dalton immediately following the services. In lieu of
flowers, contributions would be welcome to a scholarship fund for the benefit of Tim and
sent to Timothy Salter, c/o Yvonne Salazar, Wachovia Bank, 2604 Hiatus Road, Cooper
City, FL 33026, or donations may be made in Ingrid's memory to the Sarcoma Research
Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA
02445-7726. The DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
