Obituary for Imogene L. Purry Miss

Miss Imogene Louise Purry, 56, of 247 Linden Street, Pittsfield, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born on August 28, 1957 in Pittsfield a daughter of the late Tommie R. Purry Sr. and Annie Bell Williams Purry. She attended schools in Pittsfield and was a 1976 graduate of Taconic High School. She also attended Berkshire Community College. At the time of her death she had been employed since June of 1995 at Hillcrest Commons as a certified nursing assistant. She also had been a Home Health Care Aide for several years. She was a member of Second Congregational Church, Imogene enjoyed her family and friends and had a wonderful sense of humor. She also enjoyed crocheting, music, fishing, bowling and singing. She is survived by her son, Michael Robert Purry of Pittsfield. Two sisters, Linda J. Purry-Scales and Carol A. Purry both of Pittsfield. Two brothers, Tommie R. Purry, Jr. and Robert L. Purry both of Pittsfield. Three grandchildren, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Michael J. Purry on April 2, 2014.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at Second Congregational Church with the Rev. Leonard Comithier officiating. Burial will follow at Pittsfield Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory may be made to Second Congregational Church in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. which is handling arrangements.
