Obituary for Howard A. Gadreault

HOWARD A. GADREAULT, 91, formerly of Curtis Manor, Dalton, died Friday
at Hillcrest Commons where he had resided since July 26. He had previously lived in
Colrain and Greenfield for many years.
Born in Easthampton, December 15, 1914, a son of Edward and Octavia Bolduc
Gadreault, he was a graduate of Colrain schools.
A toolmaker and quality control inspector by trade, Mr. Gadreault was employed
by Millers Falls Tool in Greenfield and by Ingresol-Rand, also of Greenfield. He retired
in 1969 with 40 years service.
He had also worked as a private caretaker in Florida, where he enjoyed wintering
in Boynton Beach for many years.
Mr. Gadreault was a member of the Elks. He was an avid golfer who also
enjoyed skiing. He was a handyman. And he enjoyed wintering in Florida.
His wife, the former Wyoane "Peggy" Rogers, whom he married in 1937, died June 4, 2001.
Mr. Gadreault leaves a daughter, Mary Jo Humphrey, of Dalton, and two grand
sons.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for HOWARD A. GADREAULT, who died Friday, October
20, will be held Wednesday, October 25, at 11:00 a.m., at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral
Home, 40 Church Street, Shelburne Falls, MA. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Gadreault may be made to Curtis Manor Retirement Home in care of DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME which is in charge of local arrangements. Mr. Gadreault leaves two grandsons, Paul Humphrey and Peter Humphrey. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Edward, of Colrain.
