Obituary for Hope R. Dery

Hope R. Dery, 79, of 1200 West Street, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012, She was born in Pittsfield on April 20, 1933 and was the beloved daughter of the late Fred D. Retallick and Margaret O' Connell. She attended local schools and graduated from Colby Jr. College. Hope married her husband, David A. Dery on August 24, 1957. Prior to getting married, she had worked at Western MA Electric Company. Hope enjoyed traveling and loved her ski buddies, she skied for over 70 years (and in my professional opinion she was one of the most graceful skiers I ever knew). She also enjoyed visiting with her friends. She is survived by her husband; Dave Dery of Pittsfield, her daughter; Diana Noble of Dalton, her son; Fred Dery of Windsor, her son; Bart Dery of Pittsfield and her grandson David S. Dery of Dalton.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Hope R. Dery, 79, of Pittsfield, who died November 17, 2012, will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Church celebrated by Rev. Peter Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours for Hope will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at DERY FUNERAL HOME. Memorial donations in Hope's memory may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Pittsfield in care of the Dery Funeral Home 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201
