Hilda Gilbert Nolan, 87, died Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Hillcrest Commons.
Born in Newman, Georgia, on May 20, 1926, the daughter of Olin and Marian Buchanan Omstead, she was educated in Georgia schools.
Mrs. Nolan first worked in the cotton and woolen mills. With her passion for
housekeeping, she later enjoyed a career as a chambermaid and waitress at the Hilton Inn.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, William Nolan.
Mrs. Nolan is survived by a son, Robert J. Gilbert, of Pittsfield, a daughter,
Raychel Shepler of Arrington, Virginia, five grandchildren and seven great grand-children.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Hilda Gilbert Nolan are private. The DERY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
