Obituary for Henrietta Rose Aldrich

Henrietta Rose Aldrich, age 80, of Kellogg Street, and formerly of Dalton and Lanesboro, died Monday, March 13, 2017 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Pittsfield on January 23, 1937, the daughter of the late Harry L. and Irene I. Kudlate Simeone. She was educated in Pittsfield and Dalton schools.
Primarily a homemaker, Henrietta had also been a governess for the Sam Colt family of
Pittsfield and took care of other children, as well. She has also worked in the kitchen at the Lanesboro Elementary School and as a home health aide for the Berkshire Visiting Nurse Association.
She enjoyed art, sculpting, designing home décor, and cooking.
Henrietta was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and the former Mount Carmel Church.
Mrs. Aldrich married Robert L. Aldrich on June 29, 1957; he died on July 1, 2012. She is survived by her son: Robert L. Aldrich II of Pittsfield; her two daughters: Linda L. Lannan of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Wendy M. Wendell and her husband Alfred of Pittsfield; her brother: Victor Simeone and his wife Sally of Dalton; 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by her brothers: Anthony and Henry "Cookie" Simeone, and her granddaughter Melissa Wendell.

FUNERAL NOTICE Funeral services will be held WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22, 2017 at 8:15 AM at the DERY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph Church with Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor, officiating. Calling hours will be held TUESDAY from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dery Funeral Home to assist the family with final
expenses.
