Obituary for Helen M. Hutton

HELEN MARGARET HUTTON, 89, formerly of 62 Greenridge Drive, Dalton,
died Friday, March 6, at Sweet Brook Care Center where she had resided since April 2003.
Born in Ottawa, Canada, October 4, 1919, a daughter of Francis and Grace McDonald Hearty, she was educated in Canada.
Mrs. Hutton was first employed as a decoder for The Bank Note, a government
agency, in Ottawa. She later worked at the former England Brothers department store as a sales clerk for five years, and then for Eaton-Paper Company in its At-A-Glance Division for about fifteen years.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church.
She was a member of Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She volunteered at the Boy Scout Office in Dalton and had been a longtime assistant leader with the Dalton Campfire Girls.
She enjoyed working outside and flower gardening. She also loved to dance.
She also enjoyed her spending time with her forever girl friend, Toni Reeb.
Her husband, Stewart Hutton, died in 1971.
Mrs. Hutton is survived by two daughters, Daryl V. Norton and her husband,
Gerald R. Norton of Richmond and Heather M. Zanolli and her husband, Michael A.
Zanolli of Windsor; five grandchildren, Matthew J. Zanolli, Robert M. Zanolli and his
wife, Charlotte, Krista D. Zanolli, Shenna L. Norton, and Brent L. Norton and his wife
Amanda, and a great grandson, Michael Zanolli; a niece, Joan
McEachern of Canada; and her longtime friend, Toni Reeb of Pittsfield.
She was pre-deceased by a brother, Clifford Hearty, and a sister, Rita
Trewhitt, both late of Canada.



FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for HELEN MARGARET HUTTON, who died
Friday, March 6, will be Wednesday, March 11, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Agnes Church,
In Dalton, celebrated by Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, pastor. Burial will follow in
Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at DERY
FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs.
Hutton may be made to Alzheimer's Association earmarked for research) in care
of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
