Obituary for Helen R. Evans

HELEN R. EVANS, 95, formerly of Virginia Avenue, Pittsfield, died Wednesday, October 25, at Hillcrest Commons where had resided the past four and a half years. Born in Blandford, Massachusetts, August 12, 1911, she was the daughter of Joseph and Marie Pouliot Garneau, she attended schools in Huntington.
Mrs. Evans had been employed by the former Huntington Woolen Mill. She was a communicant of St. Mary the Morning Star Church. She enjoyed
traveling and interior decorating.
Her husband, Francis Evans, whom she married May 20, 1972, died July 11,2000. Mrs. Evans is survived by several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Helen R. Evans, who died Wednesday, October
25, will be held Friday, November 3, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary the Morning Star Church
celebrated by Rev. Paul A. Bombardier, Pastor. Burial will be at a later date in St.
Thomas Cemetery in Huntington. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers,
contributions in memory of Mrs. Evans may be made to St. Mary Church in care of
DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
