Obituary for Helen M. Cimini (Jenks)

Helen M. Cimini, 63, of 28 Clinton Avenue passed away at home on Saturday, September 23, 2017 to be with her God who she loved, and to be with her son: the late Benjamin Failla. Born on December 23, 1953 in Pittsfield, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Shirley Estes Jenks. A Becket native, she was educated in Becket and Dalton schools and was a 1972 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School. Helen was employed for many years as a housekeeper for area cleaning contractors. She also worked at one time at Pittsfield Furniture. She was a member of Church of Christ. She enjoyed crafts, cooking for her family and being an organizer. An avid animal lover, she also volunteered at the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter. She leaves her husband; Joseph A. Cimini of Pittsfield. Two sons; Dean and Daniel Failla both of Sarasota, FL. Two sisters; Cindy Kessler of Denver, CO and Judy Cole of North Carolina. Two brothers; Howard Jenks of Tennessee and Michael Jenks of Aurora, CO. Four grandchildren; Tiffanie Failla, Brianna Failla, Amber Failla and Zachary Ackerman. Two great grandchildren; Bentley Levensailor-Recor and Aurora Levensailor-Recor.

FUNERAL NOTICE: At Helen’s request there will be no services or calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter, Berkshire County Jimmy Fund or Hospice Care in the Berkshires, all in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201 which is handling arrangements.
