Obituary for Hazel L. Romero
Hazel Lee Romero, 67 of Pittsfield, MA passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 at her home.
Born in Pittsfield on July 31, 1955 the daughter of Nicolena Cencia Bigelow and the late Edward F. Bigelow, Jr., she was educated in Pittsfield schools.
Hazel was married to Luis Romero for 30 years.
Mrs. Romero was a machine operator for many years at SAMPCO, where she made roofing sample boards.
She enjoyed visiting her family.
Mrs. Romero is survived by her husband Luis Romero of Pittsfield. Three sons, Daniel Harrington of MA. Christopher Harrington of Pittsfield, MA, and Edward Harrington of Pittsfield, MA. Eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Her mother, Nicolena Bigelow of Pittsfield. Three brothers, Frank, Leonard and Anthony Bigelow, all of Pittsfield. And seven sisters, Charlotte Trombley of Washington, MA, Louise Barnes of Pittsfield, Tina Trepania of Pittsfield, Celia Forth of Pittsfield, Carol French of Dalton, Marianne Santana of Pittsfield and Kerry Ann DiPietro of Pittsfield. She was predeceased by her siblings, Armand Bigelow, Edward J. Bigelow and Teresa Bigelow.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral home services will be held, Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 7 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. Calling hours will precede the service starting at 4 p.m.
