Obituary for Hazel E. Guyette

Mrs. Hazel E. Guyette, 75, of 191 East River Road, Middlefield, MA died Friday evening at home. Born on October 13, 1931 in Springfield, MA she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth Rice Hines. She was educated in Springfield schools and had resided in Middlefield for fifty years. She was the wife of the late Jack M. Guyette Sr. whom she married in 1948. He died on February 6, 1993. Mrs. Guyette was employed as a nurse's aide from 1960-1973 at the Northampton State Hospital. She retired in 1973. Prior to that she had been employed at the Milton Bradley Company. She enjoyed playing cards and watching television. She leaves three sons, Jack M. Guyette Jr. of Middlefield, Edward R. Guyette of Dalton and Arthur J. Guyette of Brattleboro, VT. Two daughters, Dale A. Hoag of Cummington, MA and Donna L. Edwards of Peru, MA. She also leaves a brother, Ralph E. Hines of Barefoot Bay, FL. Seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Hazel E. Guyette, 75, of Middlefield who died October 27, 2006 will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dalton conducted by the Rev. Charles Young, chaplain at Hospice Care in the Berkshires. Burial will follow in Pinegrove Cemetery in Middlefield. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dery-Foley Funeral Home prior to the service. Mrs. Guyette also leaves her seven grandchildren, William & Chad Hoag, David Jr. and Jessica Edwards, Edward Guyette Jr., Deana Post and Jack M. Guyette III. Her four great grandchildren, Austin Twing, Carlia Post, Brittany Guyette and Alexis Guyette. She also leaves her two daughters-in-law, Wilma Guyette and Terri Guyette and her two sons-in-law, David Edwards Sr. and Bruce Hoag. She was predeceased by a sister, the late Barbara Baldwin. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 890 Main Street Dalton, MA 01226.
