Obituary for Halsey Clifford McKenna

Halsey Clifford McKenna, born on June 20, 1943 in Williamstown, MA passed
away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at his home in Pittsfield, MA surrounded by family..
The son of John James McKenna and Laura Bell Rondeau, he trained as a medic
with the US Army and served in the Army National Guard. He spent his entire life in
the Berkshires, working tirelessly until retiring from Wonder Bread-Hostess Cakes
in 2005. Shortly before, he traveled to his father's homeland of Scotland, and
he also attended the famous "bloody sock" World Series Game 2 at Fenway Park. His
passions included old movies and music, baseball, shelter/rescue Boxer dogs,
visiting close friends, and spending quality time with his family. He is survived by
his dear wife of 46 years, Joanne Lancto McKenna, son Matthew McKenna, -
granddaughter Paige Autumn, and sister Katherine LaVigne.

FUNERAL NOTICE: At Mr. McKenna's request there will be no services or calling hours. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201 which is handling arrangements.
