Obituary for Gloria May Conner

Gloria May Conner, 86, formerly of Dalton, passed away April 2, 2021 at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility.

She was born in Becket on May 1, 1934 to Charles and Fannie Culver Engwer. She was educated in Chester, MA and was a graduate of the former Chester High School.

She Married Joseph E. Conner on October 14, 1952 at the Dalton Methodist Church. He predeceased her on August 25, 2001.

Mrs. Conner was primarily a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to music, playing BINGO, and painting. She was a member of the Hinsdale Lion’s Club, Women’s Auxiliary.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility for their compassionate care.

Mrs. Conner is survived by her daughters, Judith Conant and husband Brian of Windsor, MA, and Nancy MacDonald and husband Charles of Lee, MA; sons, Timothy Conner and wife Deborah of Hinsdale, MA and Scott Conner and life partner Kimberly Pharmer of Pittsfield, MA. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; as well as her sister, Elsie Rucsio of Pittsfield.

She was predeceased by her son Joseph E. Conner Jr., on August 28, 2009, and her siblings Lester, Norman, Gerald, and William Engwer and Marian Stutz and Jean Scott.
