Obituary for Gerald Philip Scott Jr.

Gerald Philip Scott, Jr., 53, of 173 Robbins Avenue, Pittsfield, died Thursday, January 19,
2017, of injuries sustained in a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident.
Born in Pittsfield on January 10, 1964, the son of Gerald P. Scott, Sr. and Joan Todd Scott, he attended local schools.
Mr. Scott was employed as a handyman.
He was a member of the Berkshire Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church where he
attended Bible Study classes. He is remembered as one who lived his faith trusting God in
all circumstances.
He enjoyed cars and trucks. But, it was his 4-year-old daughter, Lilly, who was his
everything.
Besides Lilly, he is survived by two brothers, Gerald S. Scott and Eddie Todd, both of Pittsfield; two sisters, Deborah Gould of Billerica, and Lauren Scott of Minnesota; as well his beloved cousin, Becky Scott, and his nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a brother, David Pratt, late of Colorado.


FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Gerald Philip Scott, Jr. will be held Thursday, February 23, at 5:00
p.m., at The Christian Center, 193 Robbins Avenue, Pittsfield, with Pastor Dennis Farley of
the Berkshire Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church officiating. Calling hours will precede the service beginning at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Christian
Center, 193 Robbins Avenue, Pittsfield, or to the Berkshire Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church,
P.O. Box 2959, Pittsfield, 01202.
