Obituary for Gerald S. "Beannie" Poplaski

Gerald S. "Beannie" Poplaski, 53, of 411 19th Street, Altoona, PA and a former longtime Cheshire Massachusetts resident died Monday, September 28, 2015 at UPMC in Altoona, PA after a short illness.
Born on December 4, 1961 in Adams, MA the ninth child of Stanley and Phyllis Pytko Poplaski. He attended schools in Cheshire and Adams and was a 1981 graduate of Hoosac Valley High School. He had worked on the family farm in Cheshire for many years. He was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Assumption Church and had enjoyed woodworking.
He leaves three sisters, Betty Ann King and her husband Tom of Cheshire, Penny Jefferson of Pittsfield and Donna Smith of Cheshire. Five brothers, Jim Poplaski and his wife Dina of Cheshire, John Poplaski and his wife Darcy of Cheshire, David D. Poplaski of Williamsburg, PA, Stanley Poplaski Jr. and his wife Kim of Topsfield, Maine and Tony Poplaski of Sevierville, Tenn. 17 Nieces and Nephews, 9 Great Nieces and Nephews and many cousins and a special family friend, Aaron Tracy of Cheshire.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 7, 2015
at 10:00 A.M. with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Saint Mary of the Assumption Church, celebrated by the Rev. David Raymond, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot at Cheshire Cemetery.
Calling hours at DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME will be on Tuesday ( Today) from 5 to 7 P.M.
