Obituary for George Navoian

GEORGE NAVOIAN, 79, of Route 7, Hoosick New York, formerly of Eagle
Bridge, New York, died Monday, May 11, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Warwick, Rhode Island, on September 2, 1929, the son of Peter and
Mary Bogoian Navoian, he was a graduate of Rhode Island schools.
A Korean War veteran, he served as a Private with the United States Army from
March 2, 1951, to March 1, 1953.
Mr. Navoian worked as a horse trainer throughout New England for many years
before retiring in 2003.
He had also worked at Kelly's Diner in Pittsfield and at Brodie Mountain for
30 years.
He enjoyed horses and horse racing, as well as boxing. Mr. Navoian is survived by two sons, Peter Navoian of Meriden, Connecticut,
and Michael Navoian of Cranston, Rhode Island; a daughter, Linda Navoian-Estelle and
her husband, Jeff, of Cambridge, New York; two sisters, Rosa Marashian of Milford,
Massachusetts, and Hellen Fellabaum of Mechanisburg, Pennsylvania; a daughter-in-law,
Denise Navoian of Buskirk, New York; six grandchildren, Sonya, Crystal, and Sean,
Navorian, and Zachary, Jenna, and Kadie Navoian, and his companion, Carol DeGoart of
Pittsfield. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Sarkisian late of Cranston,
Rhode Island;

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for GEORGE NAVOIAN, who died Monday, May 11, will be
private. Burial will take place in Rhode Island. There are no calling hours. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice in care of DERY
FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
