Obituary for George P. Mathes
George Peter Mathes, 46, of 68 Maplewood Avenue, Pittsfield, died Sunday, September 18, 2016, at his home.
Born in Pittsfield on November 28, 1969, the son of George P. Mathes and Edith J. Pratt
Mayo, he was a graduate of local schools.
Mr. Mathes was a tattoo artist.
He enjoyed art in its many forms.
Mr. Mathes is survived by his longtime companion, Carol Philips of Pittsfield; three sisters, Debra Hersko and her husband, Anthony, of Schodack, New York, Sherry Raney of
Pittsfield, and Amy Fosty and her husband, Chris, of Lenox; two brothers, Phillip Mathes of
Pittsfield, and Joshua Mathes of Pittsfield; as well as his many friends.
FUNERAL NOTICE:
Calling hours for George P. Mathes will be held Thursday, September 22, from 4:00 to
7:00 p.m., at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
