Obituary for George J. Kolodziejczyk

George Joseph Kolodziejczyk, 48, of 218 Outlook Avenue, Cheshire, Ma. Died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center after a long illness. Born on March 14, 1958 in New Britain, Connecticut a son of Marja Kowalik Kolodziejczyk and the late Jan Kolodziejczyk. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School in New Britain, Ct. and was a 1976 graduate of E.C. Goodwin Tech in New Britain, Ct. He attended Waterbury Tech in Waterbury, Ct.
George was employed for Time Warner Cable as a CATV Senior Technician in Pittsfield, Ma. for 21 years leaving that position in October of 2005 due to ill health. He was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire, Ma. He enjoyed collecting coins, hiking, the ocean and gardening and attending his sons sporting events. Besides his Mother of New Britain, Conn. He leaves his wife the former, Lynn M. Motto whom he married June 10, 1983 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in New Britain, Ct. Two sons, Thomas G. and Jacob J. Kolodziejczyk both of Cheshire, Ma. A Brother, John Kowalik of Slingerlands, New York.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for George J. Kolodziejczyk who died January 30, 2007 will be held Friday, February 2nd, 2007 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire, Ma. Celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Begley. Burial will be in the spring in Cheshire Cemetery. Calling hours at DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, 121 North State Rd. Cheshire, Ma. 01225 will be Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials in his memory may be made to establish an education fund for his sons. Memorial checks may be made to his wife Lynn. George is also lovingly survived by his sister in law, Cynthia Schaffhausen. A niece, Margaret Kowalik and nephew, Benjamin Kowalik. He was predeceased by a sister Anna Kolodziejczyk.
