Obituary for George D. Calebaugh

George David Calebaugh, 88, of 30 Evelyn Street, Dalton, Ma. died Monday morning at Albany Medical Center, Albany, New York.
Born on October 17, 1918 in Antioch, Ohio a son of the late David and Arebelle Boner Calebaugh. He attended schools in Antioch, Ohio and was a 1936 graduate of Antioch High School. He also was a graduate of the General Electric Co. Apprentice Course in Pittsfield. He was a World War II United States Army Air Force Engineers Veteran. Mr. Calebaugh had been employed for the General Electric Company for 43 years retiring as a foreman from the Power Transformer Dept. in 1978. He was a member of the GEAA, the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners Clubs, the GE Foreman's Club, a member of the Greylock Ski Club and a member of the First Congregational Church of Dalton, Ma. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, tennis, hunting, bowling and skiing. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox.
He leaves his wife the former, Catherine "Kay" Urban whom he married at Saint Mark's church in Pittsfield on Sept. 27, 1947. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Joan L. Davis of Lenox, Ma. Two sons, George P. Calebaugh of Brooklyn Park, MN and Paul D. Calebaugh of Gilbert, Arizona. A Sister, Ethel Brown of the State of Florida.
Seven Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for George D. Calebaugh who died Sept. 10, 2007 will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. at First Congregational Church of Dalton on Main St. Dalton, Ma. with the Rev. Robert R. Kyte, pastor officiating.
There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorials in his memory may be made to Saint Mary's School, Lee, Ma. in care of the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME 890 East Main St. Dalton, Ma. 01226 which is handling arrangements.
Mr. Calebaugh is survived by a son in law, Paul T. Davis and by daughter in laws, Danielle A. and Ellen A. Calebaugh also by his adored grandchildren, Becky Davis-Mastrodicasa, Rachel and PJ Davis, Matthew, Heather, Jessica and Kasey Calebaugh and great grandchildren, Enzo and Nolan Mastrodicasa.
