Obituary for George R. Bruchbacher

George Raymond Bruchbacher, 56, of 1339 South State Road, Cheshire, died
Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Long Island, New York, on August 4, 1956, a son of Lenora Fleischman
Bruchbacher and the late Raymond Bruchbacher, he was educated in Long Island schools
and was a graduate of Stony Brook University in Long Island with a bachelor's degree in engineering.
Mr. Bruchbacher was last employed for General Dynamics where he was a
Safety Engineer for 16 years.
He enjoyed sailing and raced The Narrasketuck in Long Island. He also enjoyed kayaking and the outdoors, as well his dogs and his jeep.
Mr. Bruchbacher leaves his wife, the former April W. Caplan, whom he married
July 13, 1980.
He is also survived by a son, Joshua R. Bruchbacher, a daughter, Samantha A.
Bruchbacher, his mother, Lenore Bruchbacher, all of Cheshire, and a brother, Fred
Bruchbacher and his wife, Nancy, of Powhatan, Virginia.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Celebration of the Life of George R. Bruchbacher will be held on Friday, April 5, from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the family home, 1339 South State Road in Cheshire. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare In The Berkshires or to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research both in care of DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, P.O. Box 445, Cheshire.
