Obituary for Frederic F. Bienick

CHESHIRE: Frederic F. Bienick, 92, of 104 Church Street in Cheshire died Friday evening at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born on February 14, 1916 in Savoy, MA he was the son of the late Walenty and Suzanna Eliasz Bienick. He was educated in Cheshire schools and had resided in Cheshire for over sixty years. He married his wife, the former Henrietta "Hennie" Zuorski on September 11, 1943 at Holy Family Church in Pittsfield. She died on June 22, 2005. He was employed as an assembler for General Electric in the transformer assembly department from 1938 until his retirement in 1978. Prior to General Electric he was employed at US Gypsum in Cheshire during the 1930's. Mr. Bienick was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire and a member of the Cheshire Rod & Gun Club. He was also a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners Clubs. An avid gardener, fisherman and hunter, he was well known in Cheshire for his beekeeping and mushrooming. He had produced honey in Cheshire for over seventy-five years. He leaves a son, Robert F. Bienick and his wife Rae Langsdale of Dalton and a daughter, Patricia L. Bush and her husband James R. Bush of Adams. He also leaves his three loving grandchildren, Amy and James Bush and Caitlin Burt and his three great grandchildren, Hunter and Connor Pratt and Aiden Bush. Mr. Bienick was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Frederic F. Bienick will be held Tuesday at 9:15 AM from the DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire celebrated by the Rev. David Raymond, pastor. Burial will take place in the spring in Cheshire Cemetery. Calling hours for Mr. Bienick will be held Monday from 4 to 7 PM at the Dery-Cheshire Funeral Home. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Cheshire Fire Department both in care of the funeral home, North State Rd. Cheshire, MA 01225.
