FRANK MICHAEL MICHALSKI, 80, of 63 Fales Road, Cheshire, died Monday,
September 1, at Fairview Commons in Great Barrington. Born in Cheshire, November 13, 1927, a son of Michael and Carolina Flaga
Michalski, he was educated in Cheshire and Adams schools. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was awarded
the Purple Heart.
A carpenter by trade, Mr. Michalski was both self-employed and worked for area contractors.
In earlier years, he had worked on the family farm, Michalski Farm, in Cheshire,
had been a chef at the Blue Saucer, and worked for Berkshire Mills and for General
Electric. He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and a former communicant of St. Stanislaus Church in Adams. He was also a member of the Disabled
American Veterans. He enjoyed bowling and gardening. Mr. Michalski leaves his wife, the former Helen L. Gancarz, whom he married
June 19, 1954, in St. Stanislaus Church in Adams.
Besides his wife, Mr. Michalski leaves two daughters, Cynthia H. Michalski of
Cheshire, and Patricia McNabb of Hudson Falls, New York; a brother, Chester Michalski
of Adams, and a sister, Helen Koperniak of Adams; five grandchildren, Christopher Cole,
of Ferguson, Missouri, Jesse Cole of Richland, Missouri, Cynthia Daniels of Bethel
Heights, Arkansas, Jennifer McNabb of Easthampton, Massachusetts, and Brian McNabb
of Hudson Falls, New York, and five great grandchildren, Lily Amaya, Katlyn, Kylie,
Trenton, and Marshal.
He was pre-deceased by four brothers, William, Edward, and Walter, and Stanley
Michalski, and a sister, Anna Mach.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for FRANK MICHAEL MICHALSKI, will be
Thursday, September 4, at 11:00 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church celebrated by
Rev. David R. Raymond, Pastor. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St.
Stantislaus Cemetery in Adams. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers,
contributions in memory of Mr. Michalski may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption
Church Emergency Fund in care of DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, P.O. Box
445, Cheshire.
